OBITUARY

Mother Eleanor Dixon of Tampa passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September, 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Greater Faith Outreach Center, Inc., 7401 N. Dixon Avenue, with Bishop Fred Porter officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mother Eleanor Dixon was a native of Sparta, Georgia and a resident of Tampa for over 60 years.  She was a graduate of L. S. Ingraham, Sparta, GA.  Mother Dixon was a faithful member and Mother of Calvary Apostle Faith Church where she served in various capacities such as: Sunday School Teacher, Pianist and Head Cook.  She worked in various careers and retired as a Cook from Habana Health Care Center.  Mother Dixon loved to help any one in need and found it hard to say "No".  She loved to sew and would often make her own suits and dresses.  Next to her longtime friend/sister, Josephine Williams, she loved to sew & cook.  Her specialties were sweet potato pie and cornbread dressing.

Mother Eleanor Dixon leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Shirley Ruth Hordge and husband, Calvin; God-sister, Josephine Williams; grandsons, Bruce A. Graham and wife Cindy, and Derryck J. Dailey;  great grandchildren, Darian Graham, Brandi Peters, Dayjinae Dailey, Derryck Dailey, Jr., and Lejund Dailey; aunts, Monnie Miller, Everlee Beasley, Annie Youngblood, Annette Simmons, and Agatha Chappell; uncles, Ernest Youngblood, Albert Youngblood and David Youngblood; close longtime family friends, the Montgomery and Fortson families; a host of extended family, church family and friends.

The remains will repose after 5 p.m. Friday, September 13 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
