Mr. John Randall Cox of  Temple Terrace, passed away, Saturday, May 13, 2017.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 27 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 N. 29th St., with Reverend Evan Burrows, Senior Pastor, officiating.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. John Randall Cox was born, June 4, 1951 in Quincy, FL.  He was God's precious gift to the late John & Alice Cox and John D. Johnson.  

In 1968, he graduated from Jamaica High School in Queens, New York. After graduation he moved to Tampa, FL where he worked for Nabisco/ Kraft Foods, Inc. for 39 years.  Mr. Cox was an avid golfer and sport enthusiast!  

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his sister, Kathleen Cox-Sconiers; brother, Terry Eugene Armstead; aunt, Willie Bell Sanders; uncle, David Armstead; and nephew, Audwin (LilTee) Edward. 

He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Teresa Cox Terry (Jimmy), Felecia Cox-Beckham (Donte’), Jamon Cox (Kandyce), Justin Cox and significant other (Myeisha). He also leaves: his significant other, Gwendoyn L. Wilson; his siblings, Wesley Cox, Marzette Williams, Vecelia Cox, Cunora Cox-Waltower (Eric), Troy A. Cox, Herbert J. Cox, Tony D. Cox (Rica) and Ron K. Cox (Tangela); his grandkids, Mauresa Miller, Emmesha Bunkley, Enesha Bunkley, Jimaysha Terry, Lauren Bivens, Jastyn Baillou-Cox, Jayce Cox, Justin Cox Jr. and Dayia Beckham; his great grandchildren, Wendell Delhomme, Ethan Bunkley Williams, and Naomi Delhomme; his uncle, Sam Sanders; and aunt, Eloise Armstead; nieces and nephews, Terri Armstead-Williams, Latoya Cox, Tirea Cox, Danielle Cox, Brianna Cox, Elijah Williams, Warren Williams, Nicholas Cox, Micheal Cox, Wesley Cox Jr., Troy Cox Jr., Tony Cox Jr., Ron Cox Jr., Luke Cox, Ari Cox and a host of other sorrowing relatives and caring friends. 

John Cox was a man of few words that believed in hard work with no handouts. If he could say one thing he would say, “Please don’t cry for me in sympathy but have empathy for my loved ones who have lost a hard working and loving Father!”

The remains will repose after 5 p.m. Friday, May 26 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
