Mrs. Doris Davis

Mrs. Doris Davis of Tampa, FL passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at New Testament Church, 11530 Walker Road, Thonotosassa, FL 33592 with Dr. Al Gallon, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.

Mrs. Doris Davis was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 20, 1927, to the union of Hosie Bell and Willie Mae Adam. She loved arts and crafts, making fashion dolls, and also furniture upholstery. Her employment was a Senior Companion with Parks and Recreation of Hillsborough County for 10 years. In later years she moved to Lake City FL. where she met Clenton C. Davis Sr. To this union was born Clenton C. Davis Jr., Cheryl Davis, and Craig Davis (Beverly). She was a member of New Salem Primitive Baptist Church where she was a church mother, Sunday school teacher, and loved working with young people. She later moved her membership to New Testament Church, Rev. Dr. Al Gallon.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Butch and Annabelle Tisdale, Alfred Tisdale, Kevin Streeter, Lyric, Teaona, Raymond, Rose Taylor, Cherie, Willie, Barbara Bell, Anthony Carswell, Inez Joseph, and family.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
