Darryl Anthony Walker, of Tampa, Florida, passed away Sunday, June
10, 2018. His celebration of life and Homegoing Service will be
conducted Saturday, June 23rd at 11:00 A.M. at Mount Tabor
M.B. Church, 2606 W. Grace Street, with Pastor T.D. Leonard officiating
with Minister Kevin Dennie as the eulogist. Interment will follow at
Hillsboro Memorial Cemetery, 2323 W. Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511.
Deacon Walker was born and reared in Tampa; he continued to make Tampa
home throughout his adult life. He was educated in the public schools
of Hillsborough County; graduating from Leto High School.
Deacon Walker became a licensed and practicing industrial electrician in
the Tampa Bay area; and was the owner of Walker Security Services. He
continued to work until his health began to fail.
Deacon Walker was preceded in death by his father, Nathaniel Walker.
Deacon Walker leaves cherished memories with all that he knew and loved:
especially his devoted and supportive wife, Ruth Walker; his loving
mother, Gloria Walker; his daughters, Charity Walker, Tonya Campbell,
Regina Klaassen and Kaitlyn Sloley; his son, Tyrone McKenzie; eight
grandchildren; his siblings, Linda Walker and Kenneth Walker; Godson,
Nicholas Lemons; Deacon Walker also leaves to cherish his memories, many
nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the
family has established a foundation: Courage Through Cancer. Prayerfully
consider a contribution to benefit the “Darryl Anthony House – A place

The wake and visitation for Deacon Walker will be Friday,
June 22nd, 6 -7p.m. at the Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N.
