Arthur Lee Brown, affectionately known as "Art" of Ridge Manor,
Florida passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019. Funeral services will
be conducted Saturday, September 14 at 2 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial
Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Pastor Frank M. Bafford, Sr.,
Mr. Arthur Lee Brown was a native of Thomasville, GA born to the late
Sallie Allen Brown and Oscar Brown. After graduating from Thomasville
High School in 1972, he enlisted in the United States Army. He was a
resident of Tampa, FL for more than 45 years.
Art Brown was employed by Stanley Chair Company, prior to retiring in
2016. He loved God, his family, extended family, Gospel Music, Tennis,
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and his Narcotics Anonymous Support Homegroup.
On, May 12, 2019 Art Brown celebrated 22 years of sobriety. In his
leadership role with the “A New Way” NA Homegroup, Art Brown touched the
lives of many, who were struggling to regain sobriety and keep their

Tampa, FL; sons, Kinte’ L. Brown and Patrick B. Brown, Thomasville, GA;
stepsons, Maurice Fluker and Aaron Smith, Tampa, FL; grandchildren,
Elisha, LaKeisha, Michael, Barbara, Keyshonia, Sania, and Khalil;
brothers and sisters, Fred Hopkins, Riverdale, GA, Corene Collins,
Tampa, FL, Jake Williams, Tampa, FL, Mamie Brown, Thomasville, GA, Ira
Brown, Tallahassee, FL, Sallie Jane (Troy) Anderson, Benjamin (Cathy)
Brown, Thomasville, GA, Nathaniel Brown, Orlando, FL, and Fredrick
Brown, Clearwater, FL; his caregiver/friend and former wife, Barbara J.
Brown; other former wives, Patty Brown Reddick, and Sheryl Brown Kirk;
special friends, Mitch Harvey, Martin and Jennifer Pope, Danielle
Carter; special Allen family cousins, a host of nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
The remains will repose after 5 p.m. Friday, September 13 at Ray
Williams Funeral Home.
