OBITUARY

Mrs. Lillie Alma Barber Wells of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 25 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 14549 8th Street, Dade City, Florida.  Interment will be held at the Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery, Green Cove Springs, FL.

Lillie Alma Barber Wells was born in Donaldsonville, Georgia to the late Deacon Leonard Barber and Deaconess Cleola Barber Polite. 

Lillie accepted Jesus Christ at a young age. She was happily married to the Late Michael Wells and he preceded her in death.  Lillie was a faithful member at Russell Baptist Church in Green Cove Springs, FL.

Mrs. Lillie was an Alumni of Pasco High School and graduated from St. Leo University, BA in Psychology.

She traveled the world working for the Army Air Force Exchange Service - Serving those who Serve.  She held the position of General Manager for AAFES until she retired.

Lillie would always say her best assignment has been serving God.  Lillie considered herself a (PANK) Professional Aunt No Kids. She was loved by all.

Lillie was a member of National Active Retired Federal Employee, Customer Service All Star Club-Wurzburg Germany, Federal Military Women Club-Japan, Contingency Team Service-Southwest Asia during Operations Enduring Freedom/Iraq 2, Operation Uphold Democracy-Haiti, and Alpha Pi Chi-Vice President-Sunshine. 

Lillie leaves to mourn: her mother, Cleola Barber Polite; two brothers, Jackie Barber (Christine) of Cocoa, FL and Mike Barber (Gloria) of Dade City, FL; two sisters, Judy Thompson (James) of Tampa, FL and Pamela Harmon (Baron) of Kissimmee, FL; she also leaves a host of nieces and nephew, cousins, other sorrowing relatives and friends. 

The remains will repose after 5 p.m. Friday, November 24 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue and the family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Chapel.
