enjoying a long life, sharing her love with family and friends for over
four generations, the Lord saw fit to call, Mother Lois Murphy Ross
Branam, 94 of Cambridge, OH home on Monday, December 31, 2018 at
Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center.
Mother Branam was the daughter of the late
Roger Howard Murphy and Queenie Lee Murphy Colburn born in Raleigh,
North Carolina on November 14, 1924. Mother Lois acknowledged the Lord
Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and was a member of
Macedonia Baptist Church, Cambridge, OH under the leadership of Dr.
Lester H. Jackson, Pastor. She worked many years ago for NASA in New
York, NY and was blessed with two children, Gloria Ross Hu and Charles
Mother Branam was preceded in death by her
husband, Robert Branam; sister, Ruby Golden; brother, Roger Murphy and
niece, Elizabeth (Baker) Murphy.
She leaves to cherish her memories of her
with: her children, daughter, Gloria Ross Hu of Cambridge, OH and son,
Charles Von Ross of New York, NY; seven grandchildren, Wallace (Vonshay),
Jarrett (Evelyn), Davida, Charles, Justice, Asia and Reggie; three great
grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; two stepsons, Dwight (Kay)
and Matthew; two adopted daughters, Eva Smith Humphrey and Flo Atkins;
sister-in-law, Elizabeth Murphy of Laurel, FL; six nieces; two nephews;
and a host of great, great, great nieces, nephews; cousins, Eddie Lee
Jr. and Ida May Simpson; and friends.
