Mary Lee Nelson Daniels of Tampa passed away Thursday, November 2,
2017. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 10 at 11:00
a.m. at Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, 2606 W. Grace Street,
with Pastor T. D. Leonard, officiating. Interment will be held in
Riverside Cemetery, Albany, Georgia.
Sister Daniels was born to the Late, Elder Arthur Hall Sr. and Sister
Mayzuria Hall in Bartow, GA on June 12th, 1935. She was the
oldest of 13 children.
Sister Daniels attended Public School in Pompono Beach, FL at Blanche
Ely Elementary/High School. At a later date, Sister Daniels moved to
Tampa, and then to Albany, GA, where she met and married the late Mr.
Logan Nelson, Sr. To this union, 8 children were born (inclusive of six
boys and two girls).
After 35 years, Sister Daniels moved back to Tampa, FL and immediately
united with the Mt. Tabor M. B. Church Family in 1988. Mrs.
Daniels was a wonderful home-maker that loved to cook. Sister Daniels
was a faithful member and served on Ushers Ministry #2. Even in her
illness, God gave her the strength to take her post at the entry door.
She also served with Mission Circles 1 & 2 as well as the Widows
Sister Daniels was preceded in death by: her parents, Elder Arthur and
Sister Mayzuria Hall; husband, Brother Logan Nelson, Sr.; daughter,
Julia Ann Nelson; and son, Ben Nelson.
She leaves to cherish beautiful memories to: her children, Logan Nelson,
Jr. and wife, Suzette, Alonzo Nelson, Gloria Nelson, Lorenzo Nelson and
wife, Karen, Charlie Nelson and Leon Nelson; 19 Grandchildren; 43 great
grandchildren; 9 great, great grandchildren; sisters, Ann Gordon, Ethel
Bell Hall, Martha Highsmith, Lois Hall Jones, Shari Hall Simpson,
Carolyn Foreman and husband, Elder Cleveland Foreman, and Missionary
Tina Hall; brothers, Arthur Hall, Jr. and wife, Elizabeth and Brother
Leonard Edwards; as well as a host of other relatives, friends and a
special, cherished devoted friend, Debra Holmes.
