OBITUARY

Sister Camilla Brown of Tampa passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, January 12, at 2 p.m. at Macedonia M. B. Church, 3410 E. Wilder Ave., with Reverend Joseph A. Sykes, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. 

Sister Camilla Brown was a native of Statesboro, GA. She moved to Tampa at an early age and attended Hillsborough County Schools, graduating from Middleton High School, Class of 1959. She continued her education in Cosmetology and was the owner of Brown’s Beauty Box for over 50 years.   

Sister Brown was a faithful member of Macedonia M. B. Church where she labored for over 50 years in several ministries to include: Youth Director, Mission Director, #2 Choir/Jubilee Choir President, and Women’s Sunday School Teacher. 

Sister Brown was preceded in death by: her mother, Connie Lundy; father, Norman Lundy; sister, Jeanette Robinson; brothers, Carlos Lundy, Bobby Lundy and Simmie Lundy. 

She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Carol Brown and Sheryl Dianne Brown; one grandson, Quinton Brown; one sister, Myrtice Johnson; two brothers, Norman Lundy and Orlando Lundy; nephews, Charles Johnson (Angie), James Robinson, Dennis Lundy (Elizabeth); nieces, Alalia Lundy, Laphan Williams, and Denise Lundy; Grandnieces, Niyah Johnson and Brittnye Johnson; sisters-in-law, Peggy Lundy and Mary Lundy; cousins, Marge Wynn, Robin Wynn, Dottie Parham and Rosalie Linder of St. Petersburg, FL, and June Lundy (Sarah) of Jacksonville, FL; close friends, Elder Charles and Sis. Deloris Davis and Mrs. Rosita Baker;  neighbors, Reverends Harry and LaTonja Jones, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Special mentions/thanks to Caregiver, Gloria Bell, the Macedonia Church family, Hospice Caregivers, Tonja Payne and Andria Hawkins, Chaplin Jerome, Social Worker Asia Smith, Carver City/Lincoln Gardens Civic Association, and the Middleton Class of 59. 

The remains will repose after 5 p.m. Friday, January 11 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue and the family will be present from 6 to 7 p.m.
