Lashawn Jerelds Thomas, 39, passed away on November 16, 2017 at St.
Joseph’s Hospital South in Riverview, Florida. Funeral services will be
conducted Saturday, November 25, at 11:00 a.m. at Springhill Missionary
Baptist Church, 8119 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. with Reverend
Eugene Garnett, Sr., Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in
Orange Hill Cemetery.
Tenisha Lashawn Jeralds Thomas was born on February 13, 1978 in Tampa,
Florida to John Jeralds and Dorothy Jackson Graddy where she was
raised. She was employed by Building Stars Cleaning Company.
Tenisha was a member of Springhill Missionary Baptist Church in Tampa,
Florida under the leadership of Reverend Eugene Garnett Sr., where she
served on Usher Ministry #2 for a brief time before her illness.
Tenisha was preceded in death by: her daughter, Laterica Janee’
She leaves to cherish her memory: daughter, Laneisha Hamilton; two sons,
Eric Hamilton Jr. and Malik Hamilton; Mother, Dorothy Jackson Graddy;
father, John (Janice) Jerelds; Special person in her life, Cecil
Goodman; Grandsons, Jay’ceon (JJ) Jackson and Jayden R. Hamilton;
Special friend, Willie Perkins; Sisters, Rosie Tyrita (Jimmie Sr.)
Helms, Toynicia Shanell Jackson and Janna Jerelds; Brother, Terrance
Jerelds; Uncles, Jimmy (Oease) Jackson, Roy (Irene) Jerelds of Orlando,
Florida, Willie (Alfredia) Jerelds of Orlando, Florida, Lawrence
(Dorothy) Jerelds of Orlando, Florida, Marvin Jerelds of Orlando,
Florida and William Troy Jerelds of Orlando, Florida; Aunts, Bernice
McFadden, Annie McCray of Ft. Myers, Florida, Mamie Dennis of Eufaula,
Alabama and Ruby Laverne Jerelds of Orlando, Florida; Nephews, Jimmie
Helms Jr., Tyree Johnson and Patrick Shaw III.; Niece, Cassidy Jackson
Helms; and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.
The remains will repose after 5 p.m. Friday, November 24 at Ray Williams
Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
