Jean Sims, 63, passed away on, Saturday, September 2, 2017 in Tampa,
Florida. Funeral services for Alma Sims will be held Saturday,
September 16, at 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N.
Howard Avenue, with Pastor Donald Lott, officiating. Interment will
follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Alma Jean Sims was born August 27,1954 in Inverness, Mississippi.
She is preceded in death by: her parents,
James Whipps, Sr. and Ruth Whipps of Iverness Mississippi,
brother-in-law, Dean Watson; sister, Mary Scott Daniels; uncle, Aaron
Styles and step-daughter, Loretta Sims.
survived by her husband, Nathaniel Sims Jr. of Tampa, FL; and 9
children, Steve Singleton Sr. (Xenia), Ronnie Singleton Sr., Latoshia
Jennings (Reginald Sr.), Nathaniel Sims, III (Victoria), Byron Sims,
Elmer Sims, Jejuan Sims, Lydia Sims (Michael Sr.) and Miriam Sims (Mesean);
Step-daughters, Sonja Sims, Sophia Chatman, Doretha Rolle, Latitsha
Trammell and Mae Sims; Daughters from a another mother, Shaunisia 'Nissy'
Singleton and Karen Wilder; brothers, James Whipps, Jr. (Dorothy) and
William Whipps; sisters, Hattie Watson and Rolane Whipps; Grandchildren,
Alyssa Singleton, Marquis Perry Sr., Steve Singleton Jr., Lakesia
Jackson, Ronnie Singleton Jr., Lerome Howard Jr., Reeche Jennings,
Tarrell Singleton, Tramell Jennings, D'Andre Singleton, Reginald
Jennings III, Miriya Singleton, J'sha Jennings, Marquavius Moses,

Viewing for Alma Sims will be held Friday, September 15th 2017 from 5 to
8 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home.
