OBITUARY

Mr. Andy Sanders Sr. of Tampa passed away, Tuesday, November 14, 2017.  Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Cathedral of Faith Church, 6304 N. 30th Street, Apostle James H. Howell, Pastor, officiating.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Andy Sanders, Sr. was born in Uniontown, Alabama on  December 31, 1956 to the late Patrick and Elnora Sanders.

He met and married his wife, Bessie Lee Sanders and they both decided to move to Tampa, Florida in 1990, where they would raise their 4 children, Alicia, Aleatha, AJ, and Maurice.

Andy was a man of many talents and a provider to his family. He served our country in the United States Armed Forces, he was an iron worker, and his own construction man.

During his career as a welder, he worked on many ships from Alvondale Shipyard, New Orleans, Alabama Maritime, and spent many years ashore the Tampa Shipyard.

He loved the beautiful Florida beaches that we often visited as a family. He loved a good movie, old westerns, a good hat and sunglasses, to joke around, and to talk about whatever came to his heart.... the past, the present, future, and his relationship with God.

He leaves behind: a very lovely, committed, and devoted wife, of 33 years, Bessie Lee Sanders; 4 beautiful children, Alicia Sanders, Andy Sanders, Jr. of Tampa, FL, Maurice Sanders of Hudson, FL, and Aleatha (Cameron J. Collins) of Vilseck, Germany; 8 beautiful grandchildren, Sean, Lil Cameron, McKale, Jayda (Moon), Anzera, Khyree, Jayden, and A'mara; 6 brothers; 7 sisters; a host of nieces and nephews; a loving mother-in-law; 6 brothers-in-law; 6 sisters-in-laws;  and a host other sorrowing relatives and special devoted friends who loved him dearly.

The remains will repose after 5 p.m. Friday, November 24 at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
