Erlene Ruth Jackson Butler of Tampa passed away Tuesday, October 1,
2019. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 12 at 1:00
p.m. at Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church, 2606 W. Grace Street with
Pastor T. D. Leonard, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven
Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Erlene Ruth Jackson Butler was a
native of Cottonton, Alabama and a resident of Tampa for 54 years. She
was educated in the public schools of Russell County and was employed as
a Cashier for Kash N Karry (also known as Sweetbay), and later Winn
Dixie for 48 years.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Purcell Butler; her parents,
William Jackson and Essie Tate Jackson; siblings, William Jackson,
Alexander Jackson & Arie Lee Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memory: a devoted
son, Johnny Williams; 8 grandchildren, Johnnyne Williams (Patrick),
Joshua Williams, Ashley Williams, Denzel Williams, Jaihde Williams,
Jaiven Williams, Faith Williams, and Shaniece Williams; one sister,
Lutricia Neil; like sisters, Callie Crawford, Mildred Johnson, Essie
Palmore and Lorraine Jacob; nephews & nieces, Queen, Deniece, Dekka,
Patricia, Lisa, Alexander (Sheryl), Faye (Edward), Alzora, Angela
(June), Stanley, Bunny Ruth, Brenda, Gary (EJ), Linda (Stanley),
Patricia (Randy), Loretta, and Renee; a host of great nieces, 2 great
nieces & nephews; special friends, (like daughters), Angela Turner,
Debra Smith, and Charlotte Williams; special friends: Dorothy Jenkins &
Mattine Thomas; God children, Ricky Williams, Alexis Palmore, Veda
Simmons, Kimberly Washington- Davis, and Harold Ricks; a host of other
relatives & friends, and all of her devoted Mt. Tabor church family.
The remains will repose from 5 - 8 p.m. Friday, October 11th, at Ray
Williams Funeral Home, 301 N Howard Avenue, Tampa FL. 33606.
